The Big Red Bus Club is an incredible free family wellbeing centre based in Charlton Park.
At the heart of all we do is our daily stay and play for families with children under five. Come along and meet our wonderful team of volunteers and join in some of the free and fun activities that are provided for the whole community.
What's On
Daily Stay-and-Play
Our free under-five stay-and-play sessions are a chance to play together, make friends and join in some of the amazing activities put on by our volunteer team. Whether inside or outside, there are always people to meet and a chance to grab a cup of tea.
Play Plus
Play Plus is a stay-and-play group specifically for children under the age of five who would like support developing communication skills and/or with additional needs. Our specialist team are on hand to support you and help you access other local services within the community.
Ukrainian Play Group
Our Ukrainian stay-and-play group is run by local Ukrainian mums, sharing stories, songs and fun activities. This group is in collaboration with Ukrainian Support Greenwich, giving support to newly arrived Ukrainian families.
Speak Up
Speak Up is our stay-and-play group to help support you and your child in practising your English language skills. We have an ESOL tutor on hand to help and a playworker helping your child enjoy activities such as stories and song time developing their English too.
Divergent Power
This is a session for diagnosed or non-diagnosed, neurodivergent girls from ages 10-13. There will be activities such as pottery, jewllery making and climbing as well as support with strategies to help with everyday life. Coming October 2023.
Volunteering
Our stay-and-play sessions are run by our fantastic volunteer team. Volunteers are given training in different areas such as First Aid, Safeguarding and Makaton (sign language) and are given opportunities to develop skills to help with future employment.
Corporate Hire
